This APP Privacy Policy for MUSTR Racing Pty Ltd ACN 678 728 062 (“MUSTR Racing”) serves as the company’s official privacy policy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (“the Act”) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”). It applies to all personal information about individuals collected by MUSTR Racing.

Within this policy, we detail our practices regarding the collection of personal information, the reasons why we collect it, how we utilize it, and the controls individuals have over its use.

MUSTR Racing is dedicated to complying with the relevant Commonwealth legislation, including the Act and the APPs, which regulate how businesses collect, hold, and use personal information about individuals. We aim to protect and safeguard the privacy of individuals when they interact with us.

Collection of Information

Some information provided to us by clients, customers, and other parties may be considered private or personal. However, obtaining such information is essential for us to conduct our business activities and deliver our services. We only collect personal information when it is necessary for one of our functions or activities. The types of personal information MUSTR Racing may collect and hold in respect to individuals include:

  • When placing an order to purchase units, individuals may be required to provide contact information such as name, address, telephone number, or email address for processing and fulfillment
  • Prior to the issue of units, we may request completion of a verification of identity process by providing details or copies of identity documents as required by Racing Australia or state or territory racing authorities

At or before the time personal information is collected, we will take reasonable steps to inform the individual about who we are, their ability to access the information held about them, the purpose of the collection, the types of organizations to whom we may usually disclose the information, any laws requiring the collection, and the main consequences if the information is not provided.

Generally, we collect personal information directly from the individual. However, in some circumstances, we may need to collect personal information from third parties, such as verifying information provided by an individual or assisting with the processing of an application or order, or to locate or communicate with the individual.

At MUSTR Racing, we use the Document Verification Service (DVS) to verify a customer’s identity by confirming that the details on their identity document match the government’s records. The DVS can also confirm that the details are still valid and not expired or cancelled. We do not give you the option of dealing with us anonymously, or under a pseudonym. This is because it is impractical, and, in some circumstances, illegal for MUSTR Racing to deal with individuals who are not identified.

This includes providing our services, administering them, notifying users of changes, record-keeping, and technical maintenance.
